Arts degree at the “Università degli Studi” of Milan in 1981. Since 1987 she has been curator of the Civic Museums of Lecco, where she also carries out research on the industrial and historical heritage, in particular on the iron and the silk working. Since 2003 she has been curator at the Abegg Civic Silk Museum in Garlate. She is founder and a member of the board of governors of AIPAI (Associazione italiana per il patrimonio archeologico industriale - Italian Association for the industrial heritage); since 1997 she has been a member of TICCIH (The International Committee for The Conservation of Industrial Heritage). She is the author of several publications and articles of the field.
