Born in Genoa in 1942, he graduated in Economics. He spoke English, French and Spanish. He started working as an entrepreneur in the textile company ODONE BIANCO & NERO 1875 but, in 2002, he set up a new company in the field of robotics, TELEROBOT, of which he is the Chairman.
He is a passionately fond expert of electronics and automation and he is also interested in town planning, archaeology and medieval history.
He has chaired CONFCOMMERCIO in Genoa since 1997. He has been the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Genoa since 1999. At the same time, until 2002, he chaired Unioncamere in Liguria and then again in 2005, 2006 and 2007. He is also the Chairman of Uninontrasporti.
