Born in Brescia in 1951, she graduated in Padua in humanities with a dissertation on the account books of the 15th century. She started working as a teaching assistant of medieval history in Padua and in 1978 she became a state archivist working mainly for the archival superintendent office of Veneto and then in the one of the managers. Since 1994 she has been a researcher in archive-keeping at Udine University, since 2000 she has taught archive-keeping at Padua University, concentrating, in particular, on private archives, institutions and technologies history, and business archives. She is the author of about 180 pieces of writing such as essays and articles, she coordinates some research initiatives and she cooperates with public and private institutions. She edits the ANAI magazine «Archivi» and she is a counsellor of both the ANAI National executive committee and Veneto executive committee.
