Spyridoula Arathymou

Spyridoula Arathymou was born in Greece in 1976. She graduated from the faculty of Archive and Library Sciences, Ionian University and she is a Dr. of Cultural Technology and Communication of Aegean University, Greece. From 1999 to 2000 she worked as an archivist at the Institute of Neohellenic Research/ National Research Foundation. From 2000 to 2001 she participated as a researcher in the program ‘Interreg II’.  Research in the State Archive of Napoli to study the relations between the Kingdom of Napoli and Two Sicilies and the Ionian Islands. In 2002 she was responsible for the documentation of the book The Commercial Union of Athens. 1902-2002.
From 2002 to 2003 she worked as an archivist at the Greek Ministry of Culture. From 2003 to 2007, she worked with full scholarship for the research program: ‘Development of cultural technologies for the recording, interpretation and museological development of the industrial heritage’, funded by the Greek Secretariat of Science and Technology and realized by the Institute of Neohellenic Research / National Research Foundation. She has been scientific associate for Vranas Olive oil industry museum at Lesvos, Greece and currently she is a lecturer at the School of Museum Studies of the Technical University of Patras. She had several publications and papers about industrial and corporate archives and archives' science in general.
She is member of the International Council on Archives, the Association of Greek Archivists and the TICCIH-Greece.
