Born in New Delhi in 1951. Post-graduate in Modern Indian History from Delhi University and did Short term course in School of Archival Studies, New Delhi. Having an experience of 34 years in archival and records management field. Worked in the National Archives of India for 21 years and now heading Reserve Bank of India Archives, Central Bank of the country for last 13 years. Member of the International Council on Archives and Bureau Member of the Section on Business and Labour Archives; Member of the Indian Historical Records Commission; Member of the National Digital Preservation Programme launched by the Government of India; Certified Auditor for Indian Bureau Institutes for Western India and Member of the Group constituted by the Reserve Bank of India for Right to Information Act. Contributed papers on Archives in 'Indian Archives' and journals brought out by the Reserve Bank of India. Successfully conducted seminar on Business Archives in December 2009, first time in India, in which Archivists from all over India and abroad participated.
