Born in Genoa in 1949. He has been part of Ansaldo Group’s board of directors for Planning and Studies since 1979; in 1980 he took part in the setting up of Ansaldo’s historical Archives; from 2000 to June 2010 he was the director of the Ansaldo Foundation (Finmeccanica Group) with which he is currently working as scientific adviser. He is member of different cultural associations, member of the steering committee of the Section for Business Archives (Sbl) and member of the International Council of the Archives (Cia); he had been member of the National Commission for the protection of the environment’s cultural and industrial heritage within the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Environmental Conservation. He was scientific coordinator of the Business Archivists’ Italian Group (Giai-Anai); at present he is chairman of the Ligurian section of Italy’s Archival National Association (Anai).
