The exhibition Milano 1947-2007. Idee per una Casa della storia, promoted by the Civiche raccolte storiche and edited by the Director Roberto Guerri and the historian Massimo Negri, can be considered as the first exhibition attempt to show the different social, financial, political and cultural aspects which characterized Milan from the Second World War up to now, prior to the setting up of a History House in Milan. Due to its experimental character, the curators’ attention focused on both the planning of the mounting, realized by the architect Valentina Potzolu, and the contents in order to create a dynamic space characterized by different atmospheres in contrast, maybe as a provocation. The visitor, absorbed in the path also thanks to multimedia installations, will be asked, at the end, to leave the “house” a personal object destined to build a new memory of Milan society.
