Innovation and creativity: these are the two aspects on which Gerolamo Gaslini's activity had been based during the 1950s. This amazing entrepreneur gave all his patrimony to institutions he created – the Pediatric Hospital named after his dead daughter, the Foundation – aiming to "manage the resources with precise no profit objectives".
The explanatory effort accomplished by Paride Rugafiori, author of the volume, includes all the starting points for a theoretical and a historical reflection on this entrepreneur, making him free from the idea that he was only pushed by an egoistic and material need to increase his patrimony.
